Our goal is to develop highly skilled players who have the mental, technical and physical attributes to play at the state level in the BNSW Waratah Junior League and BNSW Waratah Senior League. Our representative basketball program fosters a positive, fulfilling experience for everyone involved.
Players are selected via a set of trials conducted before the commencement of the new season according to age group.

Transfers
Players that have previously played representative basketball for another association in Waratah Junior League are required to complete an Intent To Trial form and submit it online.
Once submitted, transfer players are then permitted to register for trials.

Wolves Junior Reps 2025 Season!
The 2025 Waratah Junior Metro League season kicks off in March and to prepare you for the season we have a list of things to note:
- Media Day aka team photos – We expect to launch the media day in February.
- Preseason games – prior to the season starting some teams may have preseason games. Detailed information will be provided to teams as it is made available to us.
- Season commences – the draw will be finalised once the pre-season games have concluded. For a full list of the round dates refer to your Reps Handbook.

To ensure parents have adequate time to pay the fees, we have broken the fees into manageable payments:
Payment 1: Position acceptance fee due 21 November 2024
Payment 2: Player levy due 10 December 2024
Payment 3: Player levy due 10 February 2025
Payment 4: Player levy due 10 April 2025
Note: This excludes the uniform costs which are ordered at Information Day.
Reps training commences the week beginning 26 November 2024 and well be held every Tuesday and Thursday.
We understand that there was a lot of information delivered to parents and guardians at the Information Day, the course was designed to give you a better understanding of what to expect. We will be supporting bench officials during home games, especially towards the start of the season.
We recommend that all parents utilise the local Friday Night Competition to familiarise themselves with the tablet (Courtside App) and our scorepad/scoreboard system.

- Players MUST register online and pay a one off $50 fee for the trial. This fee must be paid at least 48 hours prior to the first trial.
- Players are guaranteed at least two trials before the squads will be reduced
- Players are asked to wear a light/dark reversible singlet to trials.
- All trials are held at the Billbergia Sports Centre- Home of the Wolves at 9 Grand Ave, Camellia NSW 2142.
- All selected players and a parent will be required to attend the compulsory team meeting. Day & time of this meeting will be released in the next few weeks.
- Parents will not be permitted to sit courtside but may wait in the café inside the facility.
Players looking to trial from another Association must complete the online “Intent to Trial Form” . Once this form is submitted, BNSW and all associations involved, will receive an email notifying them of your application.
If you are selected in a Wolves Representative team, player clearance will be processed by The Wolves Basketball Association online with the previous Association. Please note that clearances can be blocked due to outstanding monies or items to the Association the player is leaving from.
If selected in a Wolves Representative team, interstate players must complete an Interstate Clearance Form.
BNSW permit the Wolves Representative Program to accept a maximum of two transfers per junior age group from other Representative Associations competing in the Waratah Junior Metro League. Players who have moved into The Wolves council region are required to apply for special consideration to not be classified as a transfer.
Premier Division, Division 1 and 2 are allowed one transfer per team.
Players who were not named in any team and did not play in Pre-Season or the regular Season in the previous season will be classified as a “free” transfer if playing in Division 1 or below. They will still require a clearance to be processed.
Where a player has moved into the Wolves ouncil Area, special conditions may apply.
