Our goal is to develop highly skilled players who have the mental, technical and physical attributes to play at the state level in the BNSW Waratah Junior League and BNSW Waratah Senior League. Our representative basketball program fosters a positive, fulfilling experience for everyone involved.
Players are selected via a set of trials conducted before the commencement of the new season according to age group.

Now that our Junior Rep Trials have concluded and training has commenced, you might be wondering what’s next, to ensure you have access to the latest updates make sure you save this page and refer to it when you have any Reps related questions.
What’s next
If you have already done:
- Accepted to be part of the 2024 Wolves Representative Program and paid acceptance fee.
- Read through the Wolves Representative Handbook 2024.
- Signed the agreement (player and parent) section and returned completed form to reps@thewolves.au.
- Attended Wolves Reps Information Day.
- Ordered and paid for the uniform kit.
- Collected your fitness test results.
Then the next steps are:
- Attend training every Tuesday and Thursday.
- Plan for Central Coast Classic (accommodation, transport, team functions etc.)
- Lock in the below dates to your calendar:

The 2024 fees are:
Player: $1,600
Development Player: $900
To ensure parents have adequate time to pay the fees, we have broken the fees into manageable payments:
Payment 1: Position acceptance fee due 1 November 2023
Payment 2: Player levy due 6 December 2023
Payment 3: Player levy due 31 January 2024
Payment 4: Player levy due 10 March 2024
Note: This excludes the uniform costs which was ordered at Information Day.
Reps training commences the week beginning 13 November 2023 and well be held every Tuesday and Thursday (see table above for exact times).
There will be a break of the Christmas school holidays with a revised training session schedule leading into the start of the season.
Our Information Day was held Sunday, 12 November 2023 – 11am to 3pm.
There was the following sessions during the day:
- Introduction to Wolves Representative Program
- Uniform fitting and ordering
- Bench Official course for the parents/guardians
- Wellness session
- On court session
- Fitness testing
- Meet your teammates!

Every player was given the opportunity to try on the sample kit (by iAthletic) prior to placing their order.
For players that were not able to attend the Information Day, you will be able to try on the sample kit at your first training session Tuesday, 13 November 2023.
Every player that completed the fitness testing at the Information Day, will have their results given to them at their first training session Tuesday, 13 November 2023.
We understand that there was a lot of information delivered to parents and guardians at the Information Day, the course was designed to give you a better understanding of what to expect. We will be supporting bench officials during home games, especially towards the start of the season.
We recommend that all parents utilise the local Friday Night Competition to familiarise themselves with the tablet (Courtside App) and our scorepad/scoreboard system.

More information
- Players MUST register online and pay a one off $50 fee for the trial. This fee must be paid at least 48 hours prior to the first trial.
- Players are guaranteed at least two trials before the squads will be reduced
- Players are asked to wear a light/dark reversible singlet to trials.
- All trials are held at the Billbergia Sports Centre- Home of the Wolves at 9 Grand Ave, Camellia NSW 2142.
- All selected players and a parent will be required to attend the compulsory team meeting. Day & time of this meeting will be released in the next few weeks.
- Parents will not be permitted to sit courtside but may wait in the café inside the facility.
Players looking to trial from another Association must complete the online “Intent to Trial Form” . Once this form is submitted, BNSW and all associations involved, will receive an email notifying them of your application.
If you are selected in a Wolves Representative team, player clearance will be processed by The Wolves Basketball Association online with the previous Association. Please note that clearances can be blocked due to outstanding monies or items to the Association the player is leaving from.
If selected in a Wolves Representative team, interstate players must complete an Interstate Clearance Form.
BNSW permit the Wolves Representative Program to accept a maximum of two transfers per junior age group from other Representative Associations competing in the Waratah Junior Metro League. Players who have moved into The Wolves council region are required to apply for special consideration to not be classified as a transfer.
Premier Division, Division 1 and 2 are allowed one transfer per team.
Players who were not named in any team and did not play in Pre-Season or the regular Season in the previous season will be classified as a “free” transfer if playing in Division 1 or below. They will still require a clearance to be processed.
Where a player has moved into the Wolves ouncil Area, special conditions may apply.
