The Wolves are proud to be a Sporting Schools provider! If your school is within one of our 6 LGA’s (Parramatta, Burwood, Strathfield, Cumberland, Canada Bay or Fairfield), you can choose to work with us to bring a great basketball program tailored to your students age and abilities.

Sporting Schools is an Australian Government initiative designed to help schools increase children’s participation in sport and connect them with community sport opportunities.
Sporting Schools programs are provided free to children and their families to help students build the confidence and capability to be active for life.
To help achieve this, the Australian Sports Commission has partnered with more than 35 national sporting organisations (NSOs) and national sporting organisations for people with disability (NSODs). There is a program for primary schools, and a targeted program for Year 7 and 8 students in secondary schools.

Sporting School Grant Application are opened 4 times per year providing Schools with the opportunity to deliver sport-based programs for students.
Once funding is successful, Schools submit their requests via the portal to the sport of their preference (note: schools need to wait for the portal to open for Term bookings).
Grant Application Dates are listed further below on this webpage or further information can be found via SportAus.
A minimum of four sessions of between 45-60 minutes must be delivered to each student (or equivalent 3-4 hours of intensive program delivery for each student where required).
Whether you have opted for a different sport or missed the funding for the upcoming Term, we have an option to have Wolves Coaches deliver a FREE trial session during the Term. If your students enjoy the session and you want to sign up for the following Term,
Applying for a Wolves Sporting School Program is simple!
1. Register your school online or sign in to the Portal – click here for the login
2. Apply for funding – click here for more information on how to apply
3. Once approved, select Basketball, and The Wolves will be in contact with you to organise your basketball program.
