Wolves 5×5 Winter Competition!
This competition is a traditional full-court basketball game, with two teams of eight players competing against each other. It focuses on teamwork, strategy, and skill, following standard basketball rules with timed periods, fouls, and substitutions. This format is perfect for players wanting to build their skills in a competitive and fast-paced environment.
Game Day
All games are played on Friday (between 5pm and 9:30pm).

Winter 2025 Competition Schedule
- Season commences Friday, 2 May 2025
- Season concludes Friday, 26 September 2025.
- Full payment due in Week 3.
- Uniform by-laws enforced in Week 4
- Team rosters finalised in Week 5
- Semi Final teams announced, 17 September 2025
- Grand Final teams announced, 24 September 2025
Competition Breaks
- Junior holiday break – Monday 7 July to Saturday 19 July 2025 (inclusive).
- Senior holiday break – Monday 14 July to Sunday 20 July 2025 (inclusive).
- Public Holidays – no competition played (all grades) on Monarch’s Official Birthday Public Holiday, Friday 6 June to Monday 9 June 2025.

- U10 Mixed (Born 2016/2017)
- U12 Boys + Girls (Born 2015/2014)
- U14 Boys + Girls (Born 2013/2012)
- U16 Boys + Girls (Born 2011/2010)
- U18 Boys + Girls (Born 2009/2008)
- U22 Boys + Girls (Born 2007 or later)
Looking for a Team?
- If you are an individual wishing to register and be placed on a team, please email comps@thewolves.au for a player registration link.
Register a Team
- All teams must submit a Team Submission Form, completed by the Team Manager.
- Once the team submission is received, the Team Manager will be provided with a player registration link to share with the players.
- A minimum of 8 players per team is required for acceptance.
- Each team requires a Team Coach (can be Wolves Coach, which will incur an additional fee) and a Team Manager.
Player Registration Fee
$380 + GST Individual Registration Fee
BNSW Registration Fees
$130 + GST for 8 – 11 Years
$135 + GST for 12 – 17 Years
$150 + GST for 18 Years and over
All players must pay an annual registration fee, which covers individual injury insurance and affiliation with Basketball NSW. It is the player’s responsibility to ensure their registration remains up to date.
Players who are already registered with a Basketball NSW affiliated Association are eligible for affiliate fees. This affiliation can be completed either online or in person at the venue. The affiliate registration must have the same expiry date as the player’s primary registration.
Representative Players
- Teams can have a maximum of 5 Representative Players in Pool A.
- Teams can have a maximum of 2 Representative Players in Pool B.
- Development Players will not be considered Representative Players unless they have taken the court as a player during a representative season in 2023, 2024 or 2025.
Uniform Rules:
- All players (unless part of an external club) are required to wear the Wolves Local Competition Jersey, which is color-coded by age group.
- Jerseys cost $67 and can be purchased through the iAthletic website: https://iathletic.com.au/collections/west-sydney-wolves.
- Only black shorts are permitted unless shorts are part of a matching uniform.
- Numbers (0-99) must be displayed on the front and back of each playing jersey
- Undergarments must be black.
